Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to the Interdisciplinary Journal of Islamic Studies will be reviewed without supervision by two reviewers in a double-blind peer review system. If the manuscript passes the initial screening, it will be sent for peer review (by experts in your field). The primary criterion in the review and selection process is the significance of the contribution to knowledge (Islam and the Islamic world). Decisions for publication, amendment, or rejection are based on their recommendations. If deemed unsuitable for publication, we may advise researchers or academics to transfer their manuscript to an appropriate journal.
