Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of basic teaching skills in Social Science at MIN 5 Demak through the use of interactive learning media. The skills examined include opening and closing lessons, explaining material, questioning techniques, providing reinforcement, and classroom management. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that Social Science teachers at MIN 5 Demak have implemented basic teaching skills fairly well, particularly in terms of communication and interaction with students. The use of interactive learning media, such as teaching aids and the surrounding environment, enhances students’ participation, understanding, and learning interest. However, challenges remain in classroom management and the optimal use of educational technology due to limited facilities. The study concludes that the success of Social Science learning is influenced by teacher readiness, the availability of learning media, and support from the school environment. This study recommends strengthening pedagogical training and optimizing the use of interactive learning media to improve the quality of Social Science instruction.
